Atlas Renewable Energy wins two LatinFinance Awards, recognizing its USD 3 billion refinancing and leadership in clean energy infrastructure
Named Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Latin America and Project Sponsor of the Year, Atlas reinforces its role in delivering the energy infrastructure supporting the region’s growth.
MIAMI, FL, October 2nd, 2026 — Atlas Renewable Energy (“Atlas”), an international clean energy infrastructure provider, has received the Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Latin America and Project Sponsor of the Year awards at LatinFinance’s 2026 Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards. The distinctions recognize a landmark transaction and the company’s broader capabilities as a developer, investor and operator in the region.
Closed in February 2026, Atlas’s approximately USD 3 billion refinancing brought most of its assets under a corporate financing structure, covering a portfolio across Brazil, Chile and Mexico. The transaction strengthened the company’s capital structure and improved financing conditions, establishing a stronger foundation for continued investment.
For Atlas, that capacity serves a concrete purpose: meeting the energy needs of industries shaping Latin America’s future. From mining to digital infrastructure, the company works with clients whose ability to operate, expand and compete depends on reliable, competitive energy.
“Latin America’s growth requires clean energy infrastructure that can keep pace with the ambitions of its industries. This refinancing reflects our financial partners’ confidence in the platform we have built and our ability to execute across markets. These awards belong to the Atlas teams and partners who turn that confidence into infrastructure serving the region.”
— Esteban Uauy, Chief Financial Officer of Atlas Renewable Energy
The transaction was completed with support from Atlas’s sponsor, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), part of BlackRock, and participation from BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, MUFG Bank, Ltd., Natixis CIB and Santander CIB.
