The agreement aims to fully meet Rivelli’s energy requirements by 2026.

SÃO PAULO, November 14, 2024 – Atlas Renewable Energy, an international renewable energy solutions provider across various industries, has signed a ten-year contract to supply photovoltaic energy to Rivelli, a poultry producer based in Minas Gerais. Under this agreement, Atlas Renewable Energy commits to deliver 5.5 average megawatts (MWac), meeting 100% of the energy demand for Rivelli’s total of five manufacturing plants by 2026.

The energy will be sourced from the Draco Solar Complex in Arinos, Minas Gerais (MG), Brazil, operating under a consortium model. This approach allows multiple companies to share a single energy infrastructure, eliminating the need for individual investments in power generation. Through this model, Atlas Renewable Energy enables companies like Rivelli to reach their sustainability goals efficiently.

By partnering with Rivelli, Atlas Renewable Energy advances its strategy to be an energy solutions provider across diverse sectors of the Brazilian economy. This initiative specifically targets companies with substantial energy needs that do not fall under the category of energy-intensive industries.

“This partnership represents another important step toward our mission of supporting diverse sectors within the Brazilian economy with tailored energy solutions,” said Fábio Bortoluzo, Country Manager of Atlas Renewable Energy in Brazil. “We aim to be a strategic partner, providing clean and reliable energy to companies committed to advancing their energy transition. Our projects and solutions are designed to help businesses like Rivelli make their production chains more sustainable and their operations more financially efficient”.

“Rivelli has always had sustainability as one of the fundamental pillars of its operation. Since we were founded, we have been committed to caring for the environment and the well-being of future generations. Investing in clean energy and renewing our energy matrix with strategic partnerships, such as the one we have signed with Atlas Renewable Energy, is another step towards more responsible production in line with environmental demands. Our concern goes beyond the present; we want to ensure that the production chain is aligned with sustainable and ethical practices that protect natural resources and encourage a greener and more prosperous future for all,” says Leonardo Campos, Operations Director at Rivelli Alimentos S/A.

Draco Solar Complex

Atlas Renewable Energy’s latest development is the Draco Solar Complex in Arinos, Minas Gerais. It features an installed capacity of 580 MWp and an annual generation of 1.150 GWh. In addition to Rivelli, the complex will supply other companies, including the hospital and clinic network Primavera Saúde.

“The solar complex in Arinos marks a milestone for Atlas in Brazil, as it is our first multi-contract project designed specifically for non-energy-intensive clients,” said Fábio Bortoluzo. “Our commitment in Brazil is to develop customized solutions that meet each customer’s unique needs. We will also implement our socio-environmental programs locally, reinforcing our role in driving a sustainable energy transition.”
